Here is some information to get you started. Please read this entire message and touch base with me if you have any questions or need any help. My number is 570-764-7102

On Sunday, Feb 11th @ 11am we will be meeting at the Towanda Area High School Pool. I will meet you on the football stadium side of the building you will be completing the following prerequisite skills in order to continue the class:

Lifeguard Recert Includes the following:
Completeing the Pre-Skills Check

You must complete the prerequisite in order to continue with the Lifeguarding Course.

Swim 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both but swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used.

Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. Candidates should place their hands under the armpits.

Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds.
Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. The face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are not allowed. Surface dive, feet-first or head-first, to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards to return to the starting point with both hands holding the object and keeping the face at or near the surface so they are able to get a breath. Candidates should not swim the distance under water.
Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.

Don’t miss out on next week’s training for Lifeguarding.(For NEW or Expired Lifeguards) Here is some information to get you started. Please read this entire message and touch base with me if you have any questions or need any help. My number is 570-764-7102

You MUST be at 2 classes for this course. The first class is the Pre-skills check, this will be Feb. 11th @ 11am -12:30pm and March 3rd 8am - 5pm. You can sign up for on of those classes online. After you pass that you will need to complete an online course before the hands on training.

You also must be 15 years old.

We will be meeting at the Towanda Area High School Pool. I will meet you on the football stadium side of the building you will be completing the rest of your lifeguard training.
